Supplier App Privacy Policy
This policy explains how Avanta Tech Ltd. collects, uses, and shares personal data when transport companies (“suppliers”) and their drivers use the Avanta Supplier App. If you are a passenger, please refer to the privacy policy of the company you booked with.
Effective date: 26 Oct 2026
1. Introduction
Welcome to the Avanta Supplier App (“the App”). Transport companies use the App to receive price requests, take jobs and manage their drivers, and their drivers use it to see and carry out the jobs given to them. This Privacy Policy is designed to help you understand how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your personal information. Avanta Tech Ltd. is the controller of this information. The App is for businesses and their drivers and is not meant for anyone under 18.
2. Information We Collect
a. User Provided Information
We collect information that you provide directly to us, including:
- Your company and trading name, business address and country.
- The contact person’s name, email address, phone and WhatsApp numbers.
- Your licence number, licensing authority and expiry date.
- Bank details for payments to you.
- Documents you upload, such as licences and insurance.
- The areas you cover, your prices, the prices you send us for jobs, the child seats you carry and your meet & greet prices.
- Your drivers’ names, mobile numbers and email addresses, their vehicle details (registration, type, make, model and colour), any notes, and a photo of the driver and of the vehicle if you add them.
- Your password, which we store only in a scrambled (hashed) form that cannot be read back.
b. Automatically Collected Information
When you use the App, we automatically collect:
- Location information (GPS position, speed, direction, accuracy and time) only while a job is under way: from when the driver taps “On my way” until the job is completed, including while the App is in the background. It is not collected at any other time.
- Sign-in information: for drivers, the mobile number used to sign in and the code we send by text, both stored only in hashed form; the IP address and device type of sign-in requests.
- Device information: for each signed-in device, its type and operating system version and when it was last used, and a notification token if notifications are switched on.
- Usage information: when you sign in to and use the App, and each step of the jobs you carry out (on my way, arrived, passenger on board, completed).
c. Camera and Photos
The App uses the camera and photo library only when you choose to take or attach a photo of a driver, a vehicle or a document.
d. Passenger Information You Receive
For a job given to you, the App shows the passenger’s name and phone number, the pickup and drop-off, and details such as the flight and meeting point. You must use them only to carry out that job, and not keep or share them for anything else.
3. How We Use Your Information
- Running the service you signed up for (our contract with you): sending you price requests, taking your prices, giving you jobs and paying you.
- Letting the office handling a job follow the car while the job is under way and check the journey afterwards, and, where the booking company offers live tracking, showing the passenger the car coming.
- Keeping accounts secure, preventing misuse, and improving the App (our legitimate interests).
- Responding to your enquiries and providing support.
- Complying with legal and regulatory requirements, such as keeping accounting records.
We do not sell your information, show you adverts, or track you across other companies’ apps or websites.
4. Disclosure of Your Information
- The transport companies whose jobs you take: your company details, documents, prices, the driver and vehicle on each job, and the job’s progress.
- Passengers: your driver’s name and vehicle and, where the booking company offers live tracking, the car’s position while their job is under way.
- Companies that provide services to us, only for those services: hosting (DigitalOcean, servers in London), text messages (Twilio), email (Twilio SendGrid), notifications and file storage (Google Firebase), and maps (Apple Maps on iPhone, Google Maps on Android).
- Law enforcement, government authorities, or other third parties as required by law.
Some of these providers may handle information outside the UK. When they do, we rely on the safeguards UK data protection law requires.
5. Security
We take reasonable measures to protect the information we collect from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, and destruction. Information travels over encrypted connections, passwords and sign-in codes are stored only in hashed form, and only the staff who need it can see your information. However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
6. Your Choices
a. Account Information: You can review and update your company details, drivers, coverage, prices and bank details in the App.
b. Location: You can turn off location access in your phone’s settings, but then the office cannot follow the car during a job.
c. Your Rights: Under UK data protection law you can ask us for a copy of your information, to correct it, to delete it, to limit or object to how we use it, or to receive it in a portable form. If you are unhappy with how we handle your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk).
7. Changes to this Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The updated version will be indicated by an updated “Effective Date” at the beginning of this Policy. Please review this Policy periodically for any changes.
8. Removing Your Data
A company can delete its account in the App: open the menu, go to Company profile and tap Delete my account at the bottom. Sign-in stops straight away for the company and its drivers. We pay anything we still owe you, then erase your contact details, bank details, documents and your drivers’ contact details and photos within 30 days. We keep the records of jobs and payments for as long as the law requires (in the UK, usually six years for accounting records); a past job keeps the name and vehicle of the driver who did it, and its location points are kept with the job’s record.
A driver can delete their own sign-in at the bottom of My jobs by tapping Delete my driver account. Please find more information on the Supplier App help and support page.
